Somehow it seems appropriate that I am knitting socks for Maddie while reading her the book Excuse Me Sir, Your Socks are on Fire. We are laughing our way through the book which is an account from a former ranger in the Adirondack Park in New York. Its been good for Maddie to hear some of the stories since her goal at the moment is to be a park ranger. Many of the stories are really humorous and all of them are taking place around the part of the park we know. I finished one sock and have started the other. As I have said before its my favorite pattern! I think maybe the snow is starting to melt then maybe we can get outside a bit. We are looking forward to that! What are you knitting and reading this week?
Joining Small Things for the yarn along.

I love the title of the book! I may get that for my niece to go along with her birthday socks.

You may want to read it first Donna! While most of the stories so far have been appropriate some are not quite so or well, maybe a good way to learn a lesson! One was about how he was trying to talk to some hikers while one of the girls stripped down to go skinny dipping. There is also a lot of outhouse humor which just goes along with being in the woods in all honesty! Just good to know whats coming…..although age is certainly a factor.
